 
It has become a pleasant tradition of Third world solidarity international to arrange a colorful function in connection with the Eid-ul Fitr every year.This has been a regular feature for the previous three years from the year 2003.
This function has been talking place under supervisions of Cllr. Mushtaq Lasharie from the time when he was the deputy mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. After 2003, this function was held in 2004 and recently it was held on 19th November 2005 in Kensington hall of London.
The prominent personalities from the Pakistani community, many diplomats in London and numerous people belonging from the host community attended the function.
Those who addressed the function besides Cllr. Mushtaq Lasharie, included the Mayor of Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Cllr Warwick Lightfoot, former Mayor Cllr. Christopher Buckmaster (who was the chief guest in the function held in 2003); the cabinet member of the Council Cllr.Paul Warwick, the Ambassador of Morocco Mohammad Belmahi and Rabbi Michael Hamilton. There was also a cultural show held at the end of the function in which English, American, Latin, Moroccan and Pakistani music was presented.
The purpose of holding this colorful function under the auspices of Third World Solidarity, at the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr was to gather the representative of different communications on one platform and to inform them about the blurred image of Islam emerged due to various reasons might be crystallized.
